A Benidorm Holiday
A Costa Blanca attraction
The beautiful Costa Blanca is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Spain, thanks to the spectacular weather, the wonderful beaches and the picturesque views it offers. You will find it patiently waiting for you to the south of Altea and Javea and to the northeast of the wonderful and popular Alicante.
Sierra de Aitana is the mountain range that guards and protects Benidorm from the cold winter winds, helping it obtain that spectacular climate that so much attracts tourists from all over the world. Benidorm is clearly one of the most famous tourist attractions in Spain, a destination that became popular starting with the 1960s, so it would be a pity not to visit it at least once.
Since then, it became a top destination for European tourists and Spanish ones as well. Those who have the idea that Benidorm is nothing else but British pubs, loud discos and modern hotels are wrong: Benidorm is really one of those places that can charm you and make you fall in love.
Benidorm and its numbers
If we take a look at Benidorm in numbers, we will realize that the resort has 35,000 beds and a few thousands more apartments and villas, 30 discos where the young can have a lot of fun and around 1000 restaurants that will nourish all your senses with the delicious dishes they serve.
Now, if we count the beaches, we will discover two very important and beautiful ones: Playa de Levante and Playa de Poniente; they offer you 5 kilometers of sandy beaches, crystal clear waters and lush vegetation. A 10 minute ride by boat will take you to the outstanding and mysterious rock near the Peacock Island. Since you are there, with a boat at your disposal, go on a nice ride along the Penon de Ifach National Park, always ready to charm you with its 300 species of flora.
Other attractions
The Terra Mitica theme park is a wonderful attraction for those who travel with children; you can also take them to Aqualandia or to the funny Mundomar, packed with exciting rides and slides.
The Old Benidorm wait for you with narrow streets, an old castle, small, cozy pubs, Spanish dancers, a lot of flamenco and lots of street entertainers. How can one not fall in love with something like this? You have to visit Benidorm at least once in your lifetime: you will adore it!
