If you decide to visit one of Spain’s cities, Barcelona is one of the best to visit. Even though Barcelona is not the capital of Spain, it is one of the most popular cities in the country, thanks to the unique architecture of Antoni Gaudi, which is visible all over the city.
La Sagrada Familia and the famous Park Guell are places that you must see at least once in your lifetime, so what are you waiting for? Book yourself on the first flight to Barcelona and enjoy!
The beautiful Park Guell
It is obvious that the beautiful, spectacular Park Guell was designed by the famous Antoni Gaudi. The park is actually a project belonging to Count Eusebi Guell, who wanted Gaudi to design a complex for him formed of 60 houses that were to belong to middle class families.
Gaudi envisioned the complex as a selection of country houses built in the purest English style, so what you see there is absolutely amazing. Once you enter the park, a double staircase rises in front of your eyes, but your attention will be immediately attracted by the room that was meant to function as the market.
This is one of the most astonishing creations among all of Gaudi’s work. Once you see the Doric pillar located there, you will understand why. The large terrace located at the highest point of the park gives you the opportunity to enjoy breathtaking views of the city.
The characteristic feature of all the works you will see in Park Guell is that they all contain elements relating to nature, such as birds, animals and plants as Gaudi was a great nature lover. Enjoy!
