Barcelona And Its Park Guell
Once the summer comes, everybody wants to go on a well deserved holiday; it is a ‘’must’’, especially after a long year with lots of stress and agitation, with problems and a hectic lifestyle. When summer comes, all you have to do is to relax and enjoy the beauties of the world we live in. Since we are talking about the beauties of our world, here is one that deserves your entire attention: Spain. Have you ever visited Spain?
It is now one of the most visited countries in the world with millions of people attracted every year by its diversity, traditions and customs. You have dozens of different unique landscapes, hundreds of towns and cities and a cultural, historical and architectural heritage of an impressive richness. If you decide to visit one of Spain’s cities, I strongly recommend you Barcelona.
Even though Barcelona is not the capital of Spain, it is one of the most popular cities in the country thanks to the unique architecture of Antoni Gaudi visible all over the city. La Sagrada Familia or the famous Park Guell are part of those things that you have to see once in your lifetime, so what are you waiting for? Get yourself on the first flight to Barcelona and enjoy it!
The beautiful Park Guell
It is a clear fact that the beautiful, spectacular Park Guell was designed by the famous Antoni Gaudi; the park is actually a project belonging to the Guell Count who wanted Gaudi to design a complex formed of 60 houses for him that were meant to belong to the middle class families. Gaudi saw the complex as a selection of country houses built in the most pure English style, so what you are about to see there is absolutely amazing.
Once you enter the park, the double staircase pops into your eyes but your attention is immediately attracted by the room that was supposed to play the role of the market; this is one of the most astonishing creations in Gaudi’s work: once you see the Doric pillar, you will understand.
The large terrace that stays on top gives you the opportunity to enjoy the breathtaking views over the city. The characteristic feature of all the works that you will see in Park Guell is represented by the fact that they all contain elements that have to do with nature (birds, animals, plants) as Gaudi was a great nature lover. Enjoy!
