The Mas Bes is a family farm near Lloret de Mar which has been producing milk since the 1950s. It originally started with production from just 4 dairy cows and the herd now numbers 1200 animals.

The production, associated with that of 6 other Catalan farms, is sold under the label “ATO natura”. You can find it in most supermarkets in Catalonia.

Out of concern for the environment, the farm uses manure as a source of energy (biogas) and as fertiliser.

Visits and activities at the “Mas Bes” Catalan farm

On site, guided tours will introduce you to the farm facilities along with a small museum of old-fashioned tools. Over the course of a 2 hour visit, you will visit the different parts of the farm and learn lots of interesting things about rearing cows.

You can even take part in an unforgettable experience: milking the cows! And to top it all off, you will get to enjoy a tasting of the ATO Natura milk and some home-made cake!

How to get there

The Mas Bes can be reached in under 30 minutes from Lloret de Mar heading towards Girona. Take the C-63 to Vidreres then the AP2-NII. You need to take the 705 exit and then follow directions for Vilobi d’Onyar.
