Platja Mar Menuda: enjoy your day in a large beach of Tossa de Mar
Platja Mar Menuda is the second largest beach in Tossa de Mar. Located near the town centre and with its stretches of fine sand and many facilities, it is an ideal place to spend a family day at the beach.
You should however be aware that it is very busy in summer and you may find it difficult to make your way throughall the beach towels…

South-facing, this beach with fine sand is a little less than 200m long. It therefore has plenty of space for sunbathing, relaxing in the sun and swimming only a few minutes’ walk from Tossa de Mar’s town centre.

If this beach is often referred to as “Tossa de Mar’s second beach” after the Platja Gran, it is because by size it is indeed the second beach, near the town centre, but it is also the second beach to have been awarded Blue Flag status.
A Blue Flag beach suitable for families
Blue Flag beaches are allowed to fly the eponymous blue flag as both the water and the beach facilities meet specific quality standards. The flag is flown at certain European beaches including some in Spain.
As Mar Menuda beach is entirely suited to tourist activities, it has a beach barand a range of facilities like showers, games or even sun beds for hire. There is something for everyone and for all the family!
Keen divers will enjoy the deep waters out at sea to go diving or perhaps to try diving for the first time. Closer to the shore and at a lower price, you can also go snorkelling to discover small schools of fish.
At the far end of the beach there is a little creek called “Sa Banyera de Ses Dones”. This can be translated as “Ladies’ bath” and refers to the shallowness of the calm water in this creek which was thought to be suitable for women and which is ideal for young children today!
