Deciding upon a perfect getaway to Spain

Making a Mediterranean holiday itinerary could be a mind-boggling task. While planning Spanish holiday, the sun-scorched beaches of southern Spain coasts conjures up the images of a sizzling summer heat.

The three cities of the Valencia, Barcelona and Malaga, all sit auspiciously at the periphery of Mediterranean Sea and all of these are quite popular tourist cities. Although, in Spain you have a variety of destination from which you can choose, each of these cities cater to different taste and aura.

Barcelona

Barcelona is the largest of all these three cities and is most likely the first destination over the Mediterranean coast that anyone would prefer to choose. The average maximum temperature of Barcelona stays around 28°C during summers and 13° conditions during winters. This accounts for a comfortable year-round weather. The most attractive feature of Barcelona is its unusual architecture. Gothis Quarter or Barri Gòtic, situated in the old city’s center is home to large number of Gothic style buildings. Eixample district of Barcelona also contains some eccentric buildings like Casa Batllo.

Valencia

Valencia is situated approximately 80 km away from the coast of Spain. This makes the island, very accessible by a large number of ferries that moves people to the mainland and vice versa. These ferries do not take more than a few hours to transport people from one place to another. Valencia is a hotspot for hedonistic crowd and younger people. Ferry connections in Valencia also connect people to other islands of the archipelago such as Minorca and Mallorca. Valencia has a warmer climate than that of the Barcelona which makes it a party beach getaway.

Malaga

Being in Malaga is a matter of rejoicing for art lovers. Malaga is the birthplace of the famous artist Pablo Picasso. The city is also in a close proximity to number of other historic cities. Malaga has warmest weather of the three cities and is also a prime destination during all times of the year. Granada, Sevilla, Jaen and Córdoba are within easy reach from Malaga by car or train.

A famous resort area, Marbella attracts many tourists all around. The place is known for being the favorites of wealthy vacationers from Ireland, UK and other European nations.

All these destinations are not very far and can be visited one after another. Barcelona is the coolest of all three and Malaga is the hottest. All these cities are worth exploration during holidays.
