Driving To Torrevieja

Torrevieja is a very nice and charming city situated in the southern part of Spain and it is one of the most accessible cities in the country. You can easily reach it by either hiring a car from the Murcia or Alicante airports or if you come from France, all you have to do is to drive south.

Reaching Torrevieja from the Alicante airport

Alicante is a very large airport, actually the largest that the area has, so it represents the main interest point for those who come to Spain from Northern Europe. The Alicante airport is just 40 minutes away from Torrevieja, so driving a car there is both comfortable and fast.

You have two options: you can either follow the AP-7 or take the N-323. Normally, the AP-7 should be much faster than the N-323 because it is very well signposted. The fact that it is signposted helps a person who drives in a foreign country a lot. The N-323 is not signposted as well as the AP-7 and the street lights are limited, so driving there at night can get scary, especially if you do not know the road.

The advantage of N-323 is that it takes you directly to Torrevieja, so you will not have to pay a lot of attention to the exits, like you would have to do if you take the AP-7.

Reaching Torrevieja from the Murcia airport

The Murcia Airport is situated closer to Torrevieja than the Alicante airport. If you can reach it from your country, consider it as an option because it is smaller than Alicante and easier to get out of. All that you have to do in order to reach Torrevieja is to follow the AP-7 from the Murcia Airport and you will get there in just 30 minutes. Torrevieja will be there, waiting for you with narrow cobbled streets, a spectacular harbor, bars and pubs that serve the tasty tapas and a wonderful atmosphere that will make your holiday a perfect one.
