Excursions of Salamanca- Spain
Salamanca is one of Spain’s cities that have a lot going on, making it worth visiting. What makes this city attractive to a majority of people are the nearby mountain ranges. These are the De Bejar and Sierra de Francia mountain ranges on the southern side of the city. There is also a granite canyon called Los Arribes that forms the frontier of Portugal and Spain.
Campo Charro, containing oak woods and wide beautiful meadows, attracts many. This area is situated between the Tajo and Tormes rivers, making it exquisite. It is famed for bull breeding in the oak forest.
Places to visit
For a great view of the region, consider visiting La Sierra de Francia mountain range. It has very green romantic and beautiful valleys. Las Batuecas is a village offering a spiritual and peaceful stay and is in a preserved wild life area.
Alberca, which is near the mountain, was the first village to be termed a national monument because of its beauty. Other beautiful villages here include Miranda del Castanar and Seqeros, not forgetting Mogarraz. Please your eyes by giving the villages a visit.
La Sierra de Bejar is worth visiting for its fame in textile production. It is home to Plaza de Toros, a popular bullring and the oldest in Spain.
For Christians, Alba de Tomes, home to Convento de las Carmelitas as well as the Church of San Juan, should give much pleasure. There are interesting buildings dating back to the 12th century, which are examples of amazing architectural styles.
