For Best Vacation, Come to Spain
As a person who works Monday to Friday or even 7 days a week, free time is just a heavenly gift. It is just that moment you have earned and fully deserve and it really must be spent in the best way possible. If it is just day one of your vacation, then stop wasting even a single second. Pack your bags and tell your wife that everything is settled for the next two weeks and a half. You are going to visit Spain.
When you are talking about Bilbao, you are talking about a town with a population exceeding half a million people situated just on the Nervion estuary. In the past it was just one of those grey industrial cities on its way to a shameful decline, but that is far from the truth today.
With 1997’s Guggenheim inauguration, this once derelict city has been reborn like a Phoenix from its ashes. Some of the things that brought this place to life are the music auditorium of Euskalduna and the metro line which was envisioned by Norman Foster.
Amazing hotels and classy bars and a lot of modern shops have sprung up like mushrooms after the rain and the change is so massive from what this town used to be that you will not believe your eyes if you see the before and after pictures. A great place to visit here is The Guggenheim Museum of Contemporary Art, a truly titanic place covered by titanium plaques which was designed by Frank O’Ghery.
Ceuti is something like a miracle. Once it was just another town on the verge of industrial decline,it had ugly buildings and everything within it was just a no-no if you were a tourist. But today things have changed dramatically with Ceuti being resurrected and entitled as one of the most important cultural references belonging to the Murcian region.
A renovated factory contains a few wonderful places like a staggering museum and an art gallery designed especially for children. It is also the place where the annual music festival is held with people of all ages attending.
Just 45 kilometers away from Mahon is the city of Ciutadella. This town was once the capital of Menorca and it still holds the cultural heritage and the well preserved historical buildings people used to visit. This is just a gorgeous place and the remains of the Arabic occupation are still pretty visible. You could say that this town comes as a two in one special offer. Why? Because it has two parts, the modern part and an older part which is built in a Gothic style and attracting a lot of tourists because of it.
If you are looking to spend your precious time in a place that will truly satisfy your needs for relaxation and peace, do not think too much about it. Spain is the place where each of your demands will be fully satisfied.
