Original Holidays In The Basque Country
It is true that Spain is one of the most visited countries in the world, but it is also true that it is one of the most beautiful. It is a land of extremes, the land of possibilities – you can find there futuristic buildings which are now icons of cosmopolitan cities, but also ruins dating back to the rule of the Romans or the Moors.
Spain is also one of the few places in the world where you can go skiing on the peak of the mountain in the morning and bathe in the warm waters of the sea in the afternoon. This is amazing, isn’t it? The numerous places that impress the tourists are also the places where you can spend a very original holiday and experience something different from what you’ve tried so far.
The Basque Country is definitely one of those interesting places, probably due to the fact that the region is completely autonomous. The Basque country even uses a language different from the one used in the rest of the country, a language called Euskera and no one knows the exact origins of it. Folklore, traditions and the customs of the Basque Country are also different from those of the rest of Spain.
They even have a special sport called Basqueball. The region is a highly industrialized one, but the National Parks are now very numerous in the attempt to save the few unspoilt parts of the province. These National Parks represent a wonderful destination for all those tourists who want to be impressed and be surrounded by breathtaking landscapes. Don’t worry about the prospect that you might get bored here.
It is impossible to get bored in the Basque Country, considering the abundance of sports that can be practised here, such as hiking, golf, horse riding and the entire range of mountain sports.
