A lot of people want to travel to Spain but they refrain from doing so because of the costly expenditure that includes airfare, accommodations, transportation etc. It is possible to travel Spain on the budget if you plan wisely. Itinerary is the first and most important step in planning your budget and investigating your expenses. Making an itinerary will help in figuring out the amount of money that you would need on transportation, food and sightseeing.

Book the airfare when it is off season. In Spain you can avail big discounts on air tickets during winters. Although the weather could be a bit cooler in Spain but due 365 days sunshine factor, Spain will not be intolerable. You may not find the attraction to be open to extended hours but you can visit them in usual timings. Restaurants and cafés also lower their price during the off-season.

Do not purchase a lot of gifts or mementos or souvenirs for family and friends if you are on a budget. Though these souvenirs are quite tempting but they can cost you about. You can pick up some less expensive items like candies from local shop or something useful like saffron from Spain.
By going for sightseeing around the city, pack a picnic lunch. By your staying in a villa, you have an advantage of preparing a lunch for yourself and you can pack some to have it when you feel hungry during the day. Spain has a variety of parks and you can freely have the lunch there.
