The Beauties Of Aragon
An area of 47,719 km2 is covered with amazing beauties belonging to the Aragon region, which is formed of Zaragoza, Teruel and Huesca. Perfect for winter sports thanks to its peaks and very rewarding summer due to the climate that allows tourists to explore and discover it step by step, Aragon is the place where you can spend an amazing holiday, away from an agitated and stressful life back home. Aragon is a place where nature is still not spoilt by man, so take advantage of it, visit it and you will have a wonderful time there.
Visiting the region
The main attraction of Aragon is its capital, Zaragoza, a place where both the Romans and the Moors have ruled, leaving their fingerprints behind. Teruel is of an outstanding beauty; during the Moorish rule, many buildings and monuments were created here in the most pure Mudejar style. The Mudejar architecture is outstanding, breathtaking, of a beauty which seems surreal; the Cathedra is a perfect example of Mudejar style and a very imposing building with its bell towers.
Churches like San Martin or San Pedro are also wonderful examples of this unique architectural style. If you travel with your little ones, visit the dinosaur theme park of Dinopolis Terual; they will definitely love it. Huesca is guarded by the Pyrenees, being situated at the foot of their hills. The main attraction of Huesca is the festival held every year on August 10th, the festival honoring San Lorenzo whose story is a very sad one. The festival is the perfect opportunity to get into the Spanish spirit and to learn more about the Spanish culture and traditions, as Spaniards are people with an amazing folklore.
An attractive climate
One other reason why tourists go to Aragon is its climate. Slightly Mediterranean and slightly Continental, the climate is characterized by ranges of temperature which are large. Somewhere very close to Teruel the lowest temperature in Spain was registered; however, this doesn’t stop tourists from visiting the region. The cuisine is another attraction factor for tourists from all over the world. The roasted lamb is absolutely delicious, while the ham, the olive oil and the wines are among the best in Spain. Seafood dishes, especially crab, are on the top of tourists’ preferences. It is an amazing country and Aragon is a wonderful region, so visit it and you will love the time spent there.
