Important personalities are always remembered by the conserved town’s old center, and this goes for heroes that were born in the town. There is a Gothic cathedral that is very admirable and attractive. It has sculptures and unique architectural works that are valued as they date back to the 15th century. Capilla Del Condectable chapel is worth visiting as well.
Monasterio de las Huelgas is one of Spain’s monument of great importance as it was founded by King Alfonso VIII. His tomb and those of the royal family are inside this Gothic chapterhouse. Most people come here to visit the tombs. Iglesia de San Esteban is another wonderful Gothic church that is found in this town, and so is the Gothic church Iglesia de San Gil.
Palace La Casa Cordon showcases civil architecture and has a remarkable portal. Burgos is home to an Archaeological Museum that is worth visiting.
