The Theatres In Alicante

Wonderful places on earth

I am not sure what makes Spain such a beautiful country. Is it the diversity of the breathtaking landscapes? Is it the turbulent and even dynamic past that left its fingerprints on the present of the country?

Is it the spectacular cultural, architectural and historical heritage or the impressive list of cities and villages that deserve your attention? I do not really know the exact reason but I know that the combination of all these things led to Spain being one of the most visited and popular countries in the world.

Places to visit in Spain

Every city in Spain has something unique to offer, every corner has a story to tell and a past that will impress you, so choosing a destination in Spain really is a very difficult decision to take. However, I have a recommendation for you: Alicante.

Alicante is a seaside holiday resort situated on the joyous and sunny Costa Blanca, a city that enjoys a perfect Mediterranean climate and a rich cultural and historical heritage.

Tourists from all over the world visit it attracted by its wonderful beaches and art and culture lovers dream about it as Alicante is one of those places where you can never get bored.

There are many things to do in Alicante in order to entertain yourself and a long list of places to visit, but if you are a person who loves art and culture, then you definitely have to see the theatres of Alicante.

The Teatro Principal

You will find the main Theatre of Alicante situated very close to the popular Rambla Avenue. The neoclassical building was first opened in 1847 and will impress you with no less than 6 Doric Columns, unique in Spain.

The interior of the theatre is decorated in an Italian style with a horseshoe hall and curved gives that make it very spacious. The Theatre plays the role of the most important cultural institution in Alicante hosting ballet, theatre and opera shows every night.

Theatre of Arniches

The Theatre of Arniches is smaller than the Main Theatre but it is a building that gives you the feeling of privacy. You will find it in the Estrella Square and when you first enter the building, the darkness will give you a very special feeling of a relaxed atmosphere.

The performances here are given by both professionals and beginners, so it is more cosmopolitan than the Main Theatre. Enjoy!
