Wonderful Time On Costa Del Sol
Spain is one of the most visited countries in the world. Millions of tourists choose it as their holiday destination because it is a wonderful place which offers a little bit of everything. Suiting all tastes, it is a very popular country. The Costa del Sol is one of its most famous regions; situated in the south of the country, it is a very popular holiday destination for tourists from all over the world.
The Costa del Sol attracts with its beauties: long, spectacular beaches, excellent climate which offers about 3,000 hours of sun for tourists to enjoy, great conditions for all types of sports, numerous entertainment activities, delicious cuisine, and an atmosphere in which calm and relaxation rules. The Costa del Sol is also famous for another thing: it is a place where the golf courses have flourished, so golf lovers are in heaven when they visit the region.
This is the reason why the Costa del Sol is also known as the Costa del Golf. The Strait of Gibraltar is the place where the beaches of the coast begin; it stretches right to Granada, where the border with the Costa Tropical puts an end to the 300 kilometers of sandy beaches. The coast mostly belongs to Malaga and the fact that Malaga enjoys a very big airport makes it so easy to access.
The attractions of the coast
Torremolinos has been the main tourism centre of the coast since the 1960s. However, it is not the only resort on the coast; Benalmadena and Fuengirola are very popular among tourists because the facilities they offer are fantastic. Marbella is also very beautiful but considering the fact that it is very famous, its disadvantage is that it is always very crowded. A little more calm, relaxing and not too crowded is Estepona.
While you visit the coast you don’t necessarily have to spend all your time at the beach; the possibilities for day trips are numerous and all those who are enthusiastic when it comes to nature will have a wonderful time. For example, Ojen and Casares stand among some of the most beautiful and picturesque white villages while Antequera is very popular for the prehistoric dolmens it hosts. Of course, you can’t miss Ronda so spare a day of your holiday and dedicate it to this beautiful city. I assure you that the holiday spent on the Coast of Sun is going to be spectacular.
