The history of the Boulevard in Lloret de Mar
The palm lined boulevard of Lloret de Mar. has been designed by Martí Sureda. On the western side you will find the City Hall (El Ayuntamiento) built in 1872 and on the southern side the Casa Garriga built in 1887 (today the location of the Maritime Museum and Officina de Turismo). Both buildings owe their roots to the 'Indianos' or 'Americanos'. The inhabitants of Lloret who died in the 19th century returned from America with great fortunes!
