Vidreres, that is 15 kilometres away, is a nice typical Catalan town where not many tourists can be found and you can really mingle with the Spanish locals. It has a nice church in the centre that is surrounded with shops. The snug fishing-village of Tossa de Mar can be found 11 kilometres away. In Tossa de Mar you can find the castle of Vila Vella with small streets and stairs that has almost completely remained intact. In the romantic castle you can find many excellent restaurants and many nice shops that make the search for a nice souvenir easy.
