The area surrounding your villa

Villa La Riviera is in one of the most beautiful areas of Spain, namely, the Costa Brava. A beautiful mountainous and lush area, with countless villages in which time appears to have stopped. It is as though you've ended up in medieval times. Then there is also the metropolis Barcelona, only 80 km away from the villa. A visit to Parc Guell or the beautiful cathedral of La Sagrada Familia, both designed by Gaudi, certainly won't go amiss. After that, relax in one of the lovely cafes along the Ramblas and just watch the people going by. There is a tourist bus which makes rounds through the city and takes you to all its sightseeing spots. Somewhat closer to home, only 50 km away, there is the old town of Girona. A typical sight of the city is its suspended "hanging" buildings built along the river the Onyar. Another highlight is the original Arabic bath houses which were built in the year 1194. The coast and its many beaches offer everything you could want from the sun and sea, from calm bays with small restaurants to lively beaches with water sport activities and sun soaked terraces.
